Pope Leo's inaugural encyclical, Magnifica Humanitas, provides a comprehensive survey at modern Catholic social teaching. Occasioned by the growth of artificial intelligence, it issues a call to responsible use in light of the human person. Archbishop Henning invites the faithful of the Archdiocese of Boston to engage with this topic through a series of conversations, held at different universities.

This first event, here at Harvard, will focus particularly on the question of law and its relation to the human person. The Archbishop is pleased to have three eminent scholars presenting on the topic. Adrian Vermeule of Harvard Law School, Tyler VanderWeele of the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, and Erika Bachiochi of the Ethics and Public Policy Center will each present on how the work of Pope Leo XVI and the Catholic tradition form our understanding of the human person and the role of law in society.
